He demands to play close to Ohio and still is one helluva pitcher. He isn't a has been. What are his demands? Does he have to be the closer? What kind of contract.
You can never have too many arms in the pen. Why not? Must be the money.

espn said that his agent talked to Cleveland, Pittsburgh, and St. Louis but nothing materialized. I don't think he fits into the tribes plans, especially not knowing the status on Nagy and Wright. We've GOT to let the young pitchers (Riske, Dreese, etc) mature and the major league level this year. Get ramped up for a run in 2003.

How come the Midwest teams get no hometown discount?
Perhaps the exception is Mark McGwire and the Cardinals, but he just up and quit without even involving the Cardinals in the decision.
